A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said:

"Miss Hennell launched a claim against Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 1999 regarding the treatment she received at Cheltenham General Hospital. The conclusion of extensive investigation by the Trust's solicitors confirms that the treatment afforded to Miss Hennell was of an appropriate standard. The Trust's position in relation to legal liability has been communicated to Miss Hennell and her solicitors.

"It is regrettable that Miss Hennell remains dissatisfied with the treatment she has received but the Trust remains in contact with her solicitors."
