Help Shape the Future of Your NHS
19/10/2007
From library to surgery and general practice, the NHS boasts a wealth of opportunities in the working world.
And sixth formers, medical students and junior doctors are invited to find out more at a Careers Fair on Tuesday November 20.
Organised by the Trust’s Department of Medical Education, the fair will be held in the Redwood Education Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital from 2pm until 6pm.
Staff will be on hand with information on careers including medicine, clinical skills, paediatrics, anaesthetics, occupational health, and much more.
Consultant surgeon Aidan Fowler said: “We are setting up a series of stands from specialist teams to show what Gloucestershire has to offer in terms of training and expect to see a variety of sixth formers, medical students and junior doctors coming to learn what medicine and in particular sub-specialties has to offer for them.
“The first event was held last year and was well received and we hope that by these sorts of initiatives we can improve the quality of candidates for Medical School places and for training posts within our Trust”.
Light refreshments will be available.
