The Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has today welcomed a new addition to its Board.
Museji Ahmed Takolia, 46, has lived in Gloucester for 20 years. He has a wealth of experience in health regulation, community development, education and both local and central government.
Mr Takolia is a graduate of Cambridge and Bristol Universities as well as the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton, in the US.
Although an active non-executive director of a number of other organisations, including those in the social housing, education and IT sectors, Mr Takolia’s most recent appointment to the Trust Board is his first major non-executive role within his home county of Gloucestershire.
He said: “I am very much looking forward to working with the Trust Board and starting my first non-executive role within Gloucestershire.
“I bring with me a strong interest in consumer access and public involvement and am committed to exploring and developing health issues within the county.”
Mr Takolia will replace Nigel Stapleton who is leaving the Trust after nearly three years as a Non-Executive Director.
Dame Janet Trotter, Chair of the Trust, said: “I am delighted to be able to welcome Mr Takolia to our Board and we all look forward to working with him in the future.”
