New Chief Executive Appointed

Dr Frank Harsent has been appointed Chief Executive of Gloucestershire
Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust following Paul Lilley’s retirement
in April.
Currently Chief Executive of the Salisbury Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,
He spent his early career in the Royal Navy, before joining the NHS
in 1986. He has worked his way up to his current position through a
range of general management positions including the Director of Clinical
Services at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals between 1993 and
1995 and then Chief Executive of North Tees Health NHS Trust in 1995.
In 1999, he took on the role of Chief Executive of Cornwall Healthcare NHS Trust. He has been with his current organisation since 2001 leading it to Foundation status in 2006.
Chair of the Trust, Dame Janet Trotter, said: “I am confident that
we have a worthy successor to Paul who will build upon the good foundations
we already have in place.”
