Prostate Cancer Awareness Week

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is providing extra support and information amid national Prostate Cancer Awareness Week.

From the week commencing March 10th volunteers will be on hand to provide information and contact details about Prostate Cancer will be available in the Health Information Room in the Atrium.

A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said:

“Prostate Cancer has been misunderstood and of low priority for a long time. It occurs in men and Awareness
 Weeks are designed to publicise and inform people of the condition, and to encourage men to act quickly and to be aware of the signs and symptoms of Prostate Cancer.“

The event is being supported by the Prostate Cancer Charity,  Macmillan Cancer Support and the 3 Counties Cancer Network, which aim to raise awareness and funds to improve research, information and services for those affected by the condition .
