Urology

Introduction

Urology is the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, male urinary system, testes, prostate and male reproductive organs.

Services Provided

The Urology Department offers a comprehensive range of urological services where the staff are committed to providing first class urological care to the local community.

The department provides a full range of urological services where Patients are managed in a multi-disciplinary setting. The service incorporates both the diagnosis and management of urological conditions through both in-patient and out-patient facilities.

Patients may be required to undergo some investigations in advance of their first Urology Outpatient Clinic appointment, and for some of our clinics, you will be given information in advance about what is likely to happen. You might also be asked to complete a questionnaire about your symptoms to bring with you to clinic.

Information leaflets are available for many of the conditions seen in the department and we encourage patients to ask questions in order to understand their treatment fully.
