Mr. Rick Brown

Image: Mr. Rick Brown Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics
MA (cantab) MB BS FRCS (Tr&Orth)
Qualified London 1993

I graduated in Medicine from the University of Cambridge in 1989 and from King’s College Hospital, London in 1993. My specialist Orthopaedic training was at the Middlesex Hospital, Central London, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London.

I have been an established Consultant for two years. I developed an interest in all Foot & Ankle conditions, after completing advanced training in Foot & Ankle Surgery at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and as a Fellow at The Children’s Hospital, Westmead, Sydney, Australia.

I also sub-specialise in Knee Surgery and completed a six month Fellowship at Harvard medical School, Boston, focusing on the degenerate knee and arthroplasty.

I run the local Children’s Orthopaedic clinic in a clinical network with Bristol Children’s Hospital.

I strongly believe in teaching the next generation of surgeons and each year teach surgical techniques or lecture in London, Oxford, Bristol and Cheltenham.
