Inflammatory Bowel Disease "Do Once and Share"
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) was chosen as one of 43 disease areas for the Do Once and Share (DOAS) Programme. DOAS is a national programme set up by NHS Connecting for Health, the agency responsible for implementing the National Programme for Information Technology (NpfIT).
The aim is for each DOAS team to report on the information needed to run a high quality service in their field. This will enable NpfIT to ensure that the information technology systems that are developed by the 5 Local Service Providers (LSP’s) will meet this need by 2010, when it is envisaged that NPfIT will be fully functional.
The Do Once and Share Project is about to enter a consultation phase which will run from 20th January 2005 to 31st March 2006.
During this time it will be possible for you to access consultation documents and provide us with your feedback. Email: Lindsey.carter@glos.nhs.uk Your contributions will be extremely valuable in shaping the future of Information Technology for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We look forward to hearing from you.
